At approximately 21:30, Israeli gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats that were sailing approximately 800 meters off the northern shore of the Gaza Strip. As a result, Hazem Ahmed al-Qar'an, 27, from Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, was seriously wounded by shrapnel to the head, and his boat was damaged.
